In December 2009, David Gibbons (www.davidgibbons.org) joined me as the co-host for a pilot show for a proposed new series titled “Visionary Entertainment”, which is de
dicated to the people “behind the scenes” in the entertainment industry. I see a worldwide audience fascinated by the filmmaking process and enormous potential for the broadcast of in-depth information about "behind the scenes" technologies and New Media subjects.

We had an amazing time shooting the pilot video program in Hollywood and got an incredible interview with Vince Pace, Director of Photography on AVATAR and the genius, along with James Cameron, on the pioneering use of the new 3D technology that is now blowing away audiences all over the world who are seeing the film in the 3D format.

I hope you enjoy the chat David and I had in the studio this week (click the link above) where you can hear more about our experiences producing the pilot, our views on seeing AVATAR in 3D, and the vision for a future ‘Visionary Entertainment’ series.

My series seeks to inspire the next generation of eager young creative minds creating the movies and media of tomorrow and provides a powerful opportunity to rally writers, artists, filmmakers, and those of open minds to envision a higher ideal for the entire entertainment industry. Through this program, I intend to reach out to this ‘visionary entertainment’ community of media professionals to bring them toge
ther and give them a stronger voice for our collective future.

Of course, stay connected because the “Spirit of Film” radio program will continue next year -- its not going anywhere -- in fact, its just going to get better and better!
